Do you have a favourite artist, or piece of art........

I like some classical painters John Singer Sargent (sp)for one. But some of todays modern prints are really good. Justin Bua and Stephen Johnson are excellent imho except that this sort of art is likely to be displayed in a very modern setting. I'd love to have some of these prints.

Degas Absinthe Drinker. It's sad and funny at the same time, particularly if you've been a drinker yourself

I was given this as a present years ago, not the original but not a print, I understand it's a copy.

Dont have any Bernard Leach pots myself (too pricy) but I have a piece of his wife's (Janet) and a few of his son (David).......the pottery in St Ives is still active.
Also love the likes of Henry Tuke and Stanhope Forbe when it comes to Cornish art..........I trained with Leonard Fuller who was very influential in St Ives circles and the Penwith Socviety - that in part led to the Tate down here.

If you ever get the chance, hop on Eurostar to Lille. In my opinion, this is probably the best art gallery in Europe:
