I like some classical painters John Singer Sargent (sp)for one. But some of todays modern prints are really good. Justin Bua and Stephen Johnson are excellent imho except that this sort of art is likely to be displayed in a very modern setting. I'd love to have some of these prints.

I've stopped now, but for quite a while I collected Shirley Trevena's floral paintings and prints , I love her work - she used to exhibit in Brighton before she became famous, I met her several times http://www.google.co....QsAQ&biw=1007&bih=643
Love it sandy !!

Love Banksy -almost affordable as well pinki...well more than a Vettriano :)
Was watching House Gifts -(I know I know) yesterday and one of the gifts chosen was a Banksy -Sid Vicious as Elvis -it was bl00dy brilliant £780 -the householders had a few of their own anyway so they snapped that one up -not daft !
Boxy -love them -they have a real Mediterranean feel :)
... she just paints 'em dris, it's amazing - I went to a master class with her once, and this fantastic picture was just THERE, after only a couple of hours!

DT Warren Kimble is a lovely simple artist, I like his pictures of roosters, wish I could paint like that. It's a while since we went to St Ives, (a bit hilly now for us) but we went regularly around the time when the Troika was beginning to become popular.
Craft Vettriano is a lovely painter too, I'd like the one where the butler is holding the umbrella while they dance, Is that Dance to the Music of Time?
Dris did you try sandy's second attempt at 23:13?

I used to have this, which I adored hanging above the fire, but when the builder was here last year he 'stored' it in the shed and it was ruined with water damage.
