Can anyone recommend a particular professional teeth whitening procedure. I have made enquires with cosmetic dentists but I'm getting conflicting reports as to whether laser, professional gum shields or a combination of both is best. Zoom2 has told me that I would have to have a small front filling replaced and others have said that it will lighten along with the enamel.
Any experiences or suggestions?
Many thanks.

went for a brite smile - lasers overv 2 hrs with dentist - cost a fortune - short improvement but did not last - cannot recommend - think I am not on my own !!
I've just finished my whitening treatment and am not very happy with it considering I paid 600 for it. I have to wear gum shields for two weeks and then this was followed up by an hours lazer treatment. Take my advice and don't go down this route. It's expensive and it's not noticeable after.
I had the bleaching trays made at the dentists about 3 years ago,but the bleaching gel they gave me was very weak, almost useless (10% carbamide peroxide) However I recently bought some gel from ebay shop to use in the trays and this really does work (opalescence 30%) Fillings will not bleach, nor willcaps etc.

thank you all for your advice.
Also got a professional teeth whitening kit off eBay- worked brilliantly! Made my gums sore and white if I got it on them so not sure if it is too good for your teeth...
