Have you ever had a professional facial done in a salon? Approx how much did you pay, was it worth it & how long did the effect last? I'd never really thought about it until a friend recently mentioned she'd like one so I'm considering going too - we could both do with a bit of cheering up.

Oh god, I stink, have sprayed myself with self tan phew awful. Have bought some new gladiator sandals (straps up the leg) and will have to wear 3/4 trousers as going out to paella on Sunday, but the smell is too much, and I bet I streak!!

greetings all...golly you nod off in here for ten minutes and wake up with razor burn and no nostril hairs....don't laught, you actually can have your nostrils waxed and no its not personal experience.
Having one of those days today, darling dog ate carrion in the forest and has has the runs from both ends since last night. I have shampooed the carpet and DH and I have taken him kicking and screaming to the vet who was lovely with him. Brother who travelled in the car as well came home looking very smug I guess he thought we hads forgotten to take him in!!
Anyway he's looking sorry for himself but better and I have had a shower and a glass of wine and feel quite relaxed myself
self tan does honk doesn't it...I prefer gravy browning meself....so do the dogs, they follow me around licking frantically.

well I don't know why anyone would need self tanning when all you have to do is go out in the sun [with special reference to those people living on Mediterranean islands]

Morning...<whispers>..I've got a key to the back door jno, I found it under the doormat when I was doing the doorstep in the old grotto.

The Body Shop used to do a self tan that didn't smell horrible but I see all they do now is a cocoa butter with a gradual tanning effect...the only colour we're turning here is blue, it's freezing.

Question du jour...Just how does it get so dusty inside cupboards? Do small clouds of it hide behind you & nip in when you open the door?

Ok, who's next? Just had the brand new state-of-the-art dryers delivered...

I did buy a Holiday -Skin which didn't smell but i think daughter has got it as cannot find it anywhere. Anyway today I am patchy like a chimera, so long trousers and sweater on.

Was there a Corrie last night as it's not on my downloads.

Not been well .I am sick of this rheumatic thing .All my joints are sore and painful and I feel under the weather .It's so bloomin' damp here .
I could do with a facial ..turning my face towards some hot sunshine might do the trick .But I am not holding my breath by the look of it out there today .

Hi Everybiddy What a dismal day here, hail and cold and everything. Not doing much this weekend, think I'll just batten down the hatches until Mondaynwhen it promises to be better, Going on a bus trip on Weds with my sister to Bridlington so that's something to look forward to.

Do you do massages as well as beauty treatments in here Robi as I think that would set me up just right. Thought you might have one of those hunks we used to admire hidden away somewhere.!!!!!!

Get well soon Shaney . I think I'm lucky as I don't suffer greatly from rheumaticky things except just a bit in my hands. (Scanning and knitting over the years)

tarnation, not a cloud in the sky this morning. I much prefer it to tip with rain on my last day anywhere, softens the blow. Well, I have improved my tan, recovered my health, done some swimming (in the sea), some touring, many sudokus etc etc and it has all been wonderful. Next stop LA, where rain is predicted later in the week, if you can believe that. I shall be out of contact until I get the puter at home sorted, which may be, oh, I don't know, autumn or thereabouts, so thinking nice umbrella thoughts to you all until then.

'tother dog had the runs last night and threw up a neat pile of chewed wood on the bedroom carpet, doncha love dogs, anyway it doesn't seem to be a bug with him touch wood and a good job too as the vet on a sunday costs megabucks.
I am in the happy and unusual postion of having done housework yesterday. alos OH has a blinding headache and has gone to bed so am only doing quiet things (computer and a new book oh dear still never mind)....catch yous later

What a lovely day today. Been for a walk down Elvaston Castle with my sister. We went into the English Garden they have there and found a seat to relax in the sun and they said they were locking the gate so we had to come out. Still we enjoyed the walk there and back.

Do you go down there much Robi.We go to Alvaston Park as well.

I don't know what we have done to Vinny . Anybody else any ideas.

Going to watch Lewis at 8. I have to record Antiques road show cos that starts at 8 too. Wouldn't you think they'd be a bit more considerate!!!

At the risk of sounding too boring.and talking about the weather. It's a bit dull today innit. Still I expect the sunshine will arrive in a bit. I must admit I do like the light nights,
As long as it brightens up for Wednesday when I go to Bridlington.
Not doing much today, just been on a quick shopping trip and bought myself a casual jacket with a hood just in case it rains on Wednesday, Can't remember the last time I had one with a hood. It's from the Tu range in Sainsburys. Only cheap but it'll do the job.

Well I'd better do my least favourite job (ironing) now.

I just watched Precious Ramotswe ,which I had recorded ,very tear jerking ....mind you I can cry at the drop of a hat these days ...
