Right ladies
The sun is out the sky is blue and it may very well hot up a bit a bit soon which means less slap. .This winter has taken it's toll on my skin and in spite of exfoliating ,cleansing and whatnot it looks dingy to me .
I don't expect miracles at my age but just need something to brighten my skin a bit and make it look a bit fresher .Do any of you use face packs on a regular basis and if so what can you recommend .

I enjoyed The Jury too Shaney. I shall be watching it tonight.

Oh ..I wondered what that was .I didn't click on it .Not a fan of groups like that on the internet .I did belong to a crossword one once on Yahoo and it got infiltrated by that nasty man and I lost my trust in the people on there and ditched it .
Am downloading The Jury, so should see it tomorrow.

Am cooking Roast lamb as we have 6 legs to use up, Mr N gets them form a hotel, and we used to have them on a Sunday but now I insist we eat out, so am stuck with it today.
that one of those genetically modified lambs then, neti?
he he!!
I KNEW IT, I JUST KNEW JNO WOULD SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT!!!!!

Anyway, the dinner was delicious, lamb is a luxury over here as they do not breed them, which is why we get frozen ones from a hotel.

Sat down to watch Downton and it's the wrong type file so wouldn't play, damn and blast!
I couldn't watch antiques roadshow either :-(

I've just watched The Jury .I could have sworn that actress who plays Krystina was the same actress who played Magda in Lead Balloon but no ..Mr S was right as usual ...it was Branka Katic but she's a dead ringer for Magda .

Ooh I hope you enjoyed your lamb leg Neti ..it's very expensive here now Well I think it is . I love lamb .Especially cold with bubble .
I'm going to leg it to bed and hope I feel a bit more mobile and less creaky and inflamed tomorrow .
Goodnight folks ,sleep tight .Hope you and your dogs have a quiet firework free night Woofy xx
Goodnight all - been watching football....see you tomorrow!
Sleep tight x
good morning all...we had the first firework free night in ages last night, I just about had to pry the dogs out of bed this morning. My nice Gp phoned yesterday to find out how I was. She asked me how I was sleeping and the conversation turned into a rant about fools with fireworks (she has two small children and is a dog lover but works too long hours to have one) Its one of the reasons I like her, she doesn't keep trying to drag the conversation back to the mundane.
Morning everyone. sunny outside, but am having a lie-in. Back much better just a slight ache, oh I am relieved.

Shaney, how is Mr S?

BiL is just getting worse. He now has a special bed to stop him getting bedsores (I've no idea) but even when all his kids and grandchildren travelled down to see him, he stayed in bed and slept. I would go in and shout at him by now!
Can you all send me your emails please (not to the oldbiddy addy) as some seem to have gone from my contacts, I hate the new Yahoo format!
Morning everybody.

Woofie, glad you had a firework free night. I was kept awake by loud snoring - Mr LL has a sore throat.

Nets, I don't think you are being told the full facts about your BiL, sorry if I am being a bit blunt, but if he is sleeping all the time and has been issued with one of those beds, I think he is an extremely ill man. It may be that he has given up but no amount of prompting him now will make any difference. Just best to keep him comfortable and let him be.

I feel so sorry for your him and your dear sister.
Nets, I presume I am using the correct addy for you. The one with your name on it?
Good morning everyone.
Neti I'm inclined to agree with Lottie about your Bil. It is very sad and I feel for you being so far away.
Yes fireworks are over here for a little while. Isn't it another 6 or 7 weeeks before the next lot. I have to say I quite like the pretty ones but to me the bangers are a total waste of money.
I've got quite a busy week again. Off out today to meet my 'in the same position as I was' friend. She is having such a bad time at the moment so we're going to cheer ourselves up in town.
I'm hoping they let me on the bus with my broken pass. I have applied for a new one but not arrived yet. We shall see....
I watched the Jury on Monday but got fed up half way through. I do like Julie Walters, but lost interest in too many individual tales of woe.
See yer later 'gater(s) Have a good day.
P>S> Hope Mr S is still on the up...x
Thanks for emails, yes lottie the name one is right.

I don't think sister even knows what is wrong with him. In July he was as fit as a fiddle albeit with diabetes, then they found his arteries were clogged and were going to operate then some stupid foot person hacked at a sore toe and set off an huge infection which has spread (my sister knew nothing of this visit until later, she is furious as he should have gone to the NHS one). Once they decided they couldn't operate until the foot was clear he has gone into a decline, convinced that any movement will kill him. Trouble is my sister has allowed his ex-secretary to become his minder (as a favour so she gets paid) so sister didn't go to all the hospital visits, which i was cross about and told her to buck up and take over, which she did, but even now I think the other carer goes sometimes and I suppose she tells sister everything. Anyway he doesn't go anywhere now, they all come to him. On the 24th he has to go to see heart specialist. He seems Ok sometimes and then sometimes gaga.
Oh dear Neti, so sad. How old is he?
Type Your Answer Here...Morning all...milder but dull at the moment. It's going to be almost tropical at the weekend.

I tend to agree with the others about your bro in law neti, if he was in a position to get well I think they'd be doing things differently but it could be psychological. I was told that men (not all of course) tend to give up more easily than women or they ignore advice and regimes which could be a contributing factor. It must be hard for your sis. x

I haven't watched the Jury, I thought I'd probably nod off during one or all of them and lose the plot. I'm very anti jury (when it comes to picking names out of a hat) anyway so it would probably just irritate me. I'm not sure what the alternative to juries is but I think in time things will change.

Behave yourselves in town Jude, I don't want to be seeing you on the teatime news :o)

Still no poppy avatar for me I see :o(
'Type Your Answer Here'...tut! what's that still doing there?
Neti I am sad to say this but i agree with the comments about your BiL Such a painful time. he sounds like a very ill man. I carry on keeping him in my prayers.

Lovely quiet night last night then a lovely zizz this morning. I want to get a bit caught up before Sis arrives on Thursday so we can have some fun together.
