what causes pap arsedness in feeling the cold more than other people? I almost constantly have cold feet, cold tip of my nose and often cold hands/fingers. I can be sat here in layers of clothes and socks when other people in the room are in tshirts and moaning its hot.

People look at me a bit strange when they have loads of layers on and I am wearing a T shirt in the winter.
I admit that sometimes I feel a little cold when out but it is a bearable cold, I think the problem is, people aren't willing to tolerate a bearable cold, they want to be warm and snugly in the depths of winter, that's fine but it does not build up any resistance to the cold.
I remember leaving work at 22.00 hrs in the winter and started walking home in my T shirt with my jacket over my shoulder, I was really enjoying the brisk cold when Carakeel pulled up in the car telling me I was mad as the temperature was -6. I was waking briskly and feeling a little chilly, I was fine.

I suspect different folk have their nerves 'set' to different sensitivities. For example this week I've not worn a jumper, but most of the year I do otherwise I feel too cool. Office air conditioning always seems set too low, and others are complaining they want it lower !? Not sure there is much you can do about it, although you might try 12 months of trying to acclimatise to lower temperatures.
I can cope with the cold but can't cope with heat.
I don't need loads of layers in the winter and never wear a hat. I can't bear a house that is too warm either. I was the other extreme to Old Geezer in my last job. Had a wear a lightweight top in the winter to cope with a high temp on the air conditioning.
I suppose we are all just different. I don't personally think it has a lot to do with how much body fat we have.

I'm like you. When I was younger I was more like Ratter and didn't feel the cold but as I've gotten older (grand age of 32 now), I hate it. I find it much easier to cool down than to warm up, and it's a constant source of amusement to the man hostage seeing me going to put a jumper or something on when he's sat there in a t-shirt. I loath the winter. Even today I see people walking around with short sleeved tops on but the few times I've nipped outside, I've had my cardy on.
