How safe is St Johns Wort to take as a long term treatment tablet?. I take one a day for low mood, and find it works ok. the trouble is i am scared of stopping it in case i sart to feel unwell again. I have been taking it for 1 year. Is it ok to take permanatly?

I believe that you can continue taking your St Johns Wort, however you should be careful about dose and watch for drug interactions. There are quite a few over the counter drugs that react badly with St Johns Wort. Always read the labels, and talk to your doctor and chemist to make certain they know you are taking it.
