teeth trouble

my oh is complaining that his back teeth "drain" at night, has anyone else had this problem? he says it tastes foul but the dentist says there is nothing wrong with his teeth, I don't know what to tell him to do, he is out of bed several times at night washing his mouth out which disturbs me as well, help please.

Could it be nasal? that can taste pretty horrid too, if his sinuses are draining when he lies down.

I would love to help you but I do not really understand the question. What are teeth draining when they are at home, might I ask?

What an odd story.....I would just wonder if it were catarrh that was casing these symptoms and perhaps a visit to the GP and sinus X-Rays may help to solve this problem.

Well I think he means it feels like his teeth are leaking something horrid into his mouth, yes squad it could be catarrh, I never thought of that, thanks boxtops thats a thought too, I must get him to go to the Doctor.

Does he have any problems with his tonsils? Tonsil stones can produce a nasty taste in the mouth.

cecil i have the same problem,backwards and forwards to the dentist who told me there is nothing wrong.My taste feels like it's coming from a tooth next to where I had one removed in March.The taste changes from sour to salty and is actually getting me down.I went to the docs on Monday who gave me an anti-inflammatory mouthwash and a nasal spray because she too was stumped and said it could be sinus,I'm not convinced.I googled it and there is something called a "phantom" taste but as your oh will know, it's very real.

thats very interesting masma, I've just googled it, could be the answer, never knew there were that many glands or conditions of the mouth, never to old to learn are we?
