\\\\I was in morrisons today, and while packing my items i started to hyperventilate and shake, \\\

That has nothing to do with not taking your thyroxine.

If you don't take your thyroxine, you will go into coma and die....this will take many months or maybe years, but it will certainly happen.

The choice is yours.

Sqad, so why did that happen to me in morrisons? Would you have some idea. Also whos answers were removed, were they rude.
phleb sounds like you had an anxiety attack.

Re your meds - you know you should take them so get in a routine.

Removed posts in the dead of night are usually spammers/advertisers.
Cannot understand why some conditions warrant free prescriptions & others do not. I have a Daughter who suffers from Lupus & has to take lots of tablets it costs her a fortune !!!!
I agree with you.

Birdie, i agree with you also. I think anyone on long term meds should get them free, if the condition is life threatening.
birdie - does she pre-pay? £104 per year for ALL prescription items.
Thanks for your support mamyalnne & phleb Lupus is a terrible complaint & she will need medication for the rest of her life. But what can we do about it ?????
£8.66 per month is manageable, I hope.
Yes she does pay for a year at a time but it still seems a very unfair situation.
A line has to be drawn though. Just be thankful the prepaid is so heavily discounted that it really is cheap and not a burden.

Maybe everyone who needs regular prescriptions should have to buy one?

I know the real cost of my medication is over £100 per month, so I'm really grateful.
ALL prescriptions are free in Scotland - don't you just wish you lived here??
errrm.......no!
Trouble is, if prescriptions were free here in England, the NHS is currently so cash strapped that something else would have to go, to pay for the huge drugs bill. We've have to go without something else, to see free scripts.
I have often is not included in this list wondered why asthma medication is not included in the list
It ought to be, surely, it's a long term condition?

AB suffers from a regular late-night spammer, offering cheap designer trainers and similar goods with a dubious-looking link. Moderators (like me) constantly zap such posts as soon as we spot them.
all prescriptions should be free...check out your monthly n.i contributions [if you work]...are prescriptions free for pensioners??..sorry to sound ignorant but i dont know...
Yes MrsM - mine are free now. Routine scrips aren't.
