As mentioned in my earlier post I had an appointment with my consultant yesterday because of the higher than normal levels of chromium showing up in my blood tests. He had my legs and hips twisted every which way yesterday and said he really couldn't understand, given my blood test results, why I had absolutely no pain whatsoever. According to him, normally there would have been some symptoms.
Upshot is I've to go for a CT scan to see exactly what the joints look like. No point in speculating as nothing will happen before Jan.

Bottom line maggie...NO PAIN......so keep the surgeons away from your hip.

Agree Sqad, I'm very happy with things just as they are.
I too would be reluctant to have anything done if all seems well, but your surgeon is just following the recent MHRA guidelines.
