I was visiting my Auntie who is dying from brain tumours. She said something very odd, that she never really took to Mr P and wasn't sure of him at all.
Now she can only have met him once or twice, and he is partially deaf so can appear quite aloof at times especially to people that don't know him.
Please tell me that this comment could have been caused by the tumours. I can't honestly see why should she would not like him.
I'm just looking for reassurance. It's massively important to me that she likes him and approves of him.
She did get a bit confused during other conversations too.
No its okay. I used to deal with people who had various kinds of brain damage and such out of the blue comments aren't unusual and can cause great pain and worry to relatives and loved ones. Its not the first time I have answered a similar question
Psychiatry is not one of my strengths, but I do not think that it matters one jot as to the cause of dying, but it is commonplace for a degree of loss of aware meant or indeed dementia to precede death.
I think that all one can say is that these comments are the ram longs of a dying woman.
awe, you have hit the nail on the head, '' she did get a bit confused during other conversations '',,,,,,,,,,,nothing personal re mr. p. im sure in different circumstances she would like your man :)
Whilst, of course, it could be confusion due to the tumour, I'd suggest you probably want to ask yourself why it is so important to you that two folk you know, think each other is wonderful. Folk are allowed opinions the differ from what you consider ideal. IMO, ought not bother you really.
