how do you start to deal with depression ? last week or so began to feel really down very unlike me not sleeping very, well loss of appetite, very lethargic.
ok im out of work at the moment and wife works all day,sitting here on my own definitely not helping me one bit, applied for 6 jobs in last few days all this not helping my diabetes one bit, got bit tearful sat morning have no idea why at all? just don't understand where this has come from and i hate it.

Glad you are seeing the GP so soon. That should help, whatever they suggest.
Try to establish some sort of routine for yourself so that you get up about the same time each day, get washed , dressed etc then set small achievable goals for yourself like walking to the shop for a paper, clearing the washing up, whatever you are pretty sure you can do without over-doing things.
Lack of energy and lack of 'oomph' are , unfortunately, all part of depression, so you have to try to make yourself do things whether you 'want ' to or not.
Slowly, slowly, though.

I'm so sorry to hear you're going through such a painful time. From experience I advise to go to the doctor ASAP and get pills or medication to relieve you. Try to relax and if necessary go on holiday. Don't think to much about those jobs because that's gonna give you a lot of stress. Maybe theres something going on thats bothering you? You could also visit a counsoller. Try some sleeping pills also. If you get time please check out my latest question. All the best with whatever you chose to do Bernie :)
