Doctors Behind Closed Doors, Last Night....
18 Answers
I thought my Psoriasis, was bad when I was young, but I felt so sorry for the young man in last nights episode.
When he lifted his trouser leg to show the Doc his swelling, his skin just fell off like loose plaster, even the Doc was taken back.

God is there anything can be done about that. I am thinking that psoriasis came from within and he would need to be on "special" tablets. Maybe if he could have afforded private treatment. I quickly bucked myself up - even this morning I inadvertently or maybe it was last night watched Jeremy Kyle - a couple were on - lady was saying hubby after 6 kids didn't fancy her anymore - since she lost her two legs. She looked about 40 to me. Some people have dreadful lives.

Yes Jenny, your right, it makes our petty health problems seem like a cold.
I also watched a recording of Hospital, where the Asian man was waiting for his delayed operation, what a lovely man & his devoted wife of 40 years.
Was so shocked at the end when he said he died about Christmas.

I've had it continuously for over thirty years, scalp to soles.
I know that for many stress is a trigger but it hasn't been so for me.
Topical treatments have become ineffective, cannot have PUVA or UVB any more due to a bad reaction.
I just get on with it and dish out my best Paddington Bear hard stare when I see people looking at me with pity.

I was shocked too at the poor young man on GPs Behind Closed Doors and as if his skin wasn't bad enough, he had psoriatic arthritis to contend with as well. I have had psoriasis for many years and have tried prescription meds (steroid ointments) and 'wonder ointments' offered on the internet. Most of my patches manifest on my legs and elbows and I do find that during the summer, the condition improves a lot with the sunshine. I just use an aloe vera moisturiser now. I guess I am lucky that my psoriasis isn't severe.
