I've developed a rash and can't work out where from.

I have a pashmina that I've been wearing for months and then wore it as a scarf on Friday. By Friday I had developed a rash all round my neck and chest. Over the weekend it has spread down my arms and down to my tummy.

Can a contact rash spread this far or is it more likely to be something I ate?
