If you have a gastric band fitted, can it be removed at a later date (e.g when you've lost weight and stayed at that weight for some time)?

hc is quite correct, but Gastric Band surgery should be looked upon as a lifetime procedure and unless there are complications, then your surgeon would be loathe to unpick his operation just because you have attained your correct weight.
