The previous "Weight Gain" thread can be found here
I thought I'd set this up for everyone here as the other thread no longer appears in the latest posts box.

The last discussion was about ways to do exercise

Personally, I like running, cycling and squash - but I know one day I will have to give some of these activities up as I am plagued with "Dodgy Knee Syndrome".

Also, for those who exercise a lot, do you ever feel you are doing so just to justify the awful things you consume the rest of the time?

I hope everyone reports in okay! Good luck! And click here to subscribe by email!

Hello everybody. Happy 1st December. I've found that pound you lost, Wendilla. :-(
I hadn't been eating much this week, but what I have been eating is stodge. I've been eating quite a bit of bread in one form or another, I'm going to eat no dough this week and see what happens. Good luck Theotherhalf.
Hi notafish, ........sorry to hear that you found that missing pound, but cheer up, there is now next week to look forward to and you can save your dough for Christmas shopping....onwards and downwards
Tee hee. Yes I'll save my dough. I had two eggs for lunch and no bread.
Yes Notafish bread is my downfall that is why I use the lower fat one from Morrisons as it makes nice crisp toast and I can have 2 slices .I don't like the Weightwatcher one but the nimble brown is not too bad.
I also use a low fat brownbread which is also a smaller size from Lidl Wedella.
Another recipe I love is taking chicken legs or chicken breasts that are de skinned, dipping them in low fat yogurt (greek yogurt is good) and then in bread crumbs. I put a lot of sambol olek in the yogurt because I love spicy hot, then you roast them for about 40 min or until golden....the yogurt holds them moist. They really are a low fat treat.
Thanks for the tips Wendilla and Xstitcher. I've had a few little walks in the snow, you lose quite a few calories just trying to stay upright :-)
Hi thanks for that Xstitcher I am always looking for different ways to do chicken as I do eat a lot of it. I am off to Asda today as roads ok but side roads still icy just beginning to run low on a few healthy items as not been out since Monday Been usings things from freezer which is a good thing as had bits and bobs needed using up.
Notafish I bet you do but dare not tackle the snow walking would hate to fall and not get up lol.
Morning everyone

Unfortunately our class was cancelled on Wednesday. I wanted to get weighed in desperately to record my stone loss.
Still should be good next week (hopefully) as Ive been walking to work everyday in the snow which takes about 45-1hr.
Good luck everyone
Good Morning All, I take my hat off to you snow walkers. You really deserve to go down. I hope that you can get your stone loss recorded this week TheOtherHalf.
Oh ´woe is me, my scales said I had gone up almost a pound. I don't see how that is possible as I am such a stitckler for my rules, but I will weigh myself tomorrow too and put in more exercising....never give up.
I'll have a new chicken recipe for you in another mail. Right now breakfast is calling me. Onwards and downwards here I come.......
Good Morning All,

Well done you snow walkers. You really deserve to go down this week as I'm sure you will.

My results this week were not edifying at all. I have gone up almost 1 pound. I have also forgotten my exercises completely since I got back home and I'm sure that this is the result because I am eating the same.

I'll have a new chicken recipe for you later on.

Onwards and upwards.......this may come twice as I couldn't see my first mail was registered.
Morning Xstitcher I can.t believe it it's another 1lb off as I have eaten more but still healthily. Been out twice and have had that crispy mc cains fries twice. So I am now down to 13 7 from 15 9 at the end of June. Now I am aiming to get into 12 something by the end of January. It has taken awhile but never once put on some weeks stayed the same. How's weather your way. Ok where I am but lots of bad frost but none this morning but still cold . Up North is bad .
Hi Wendilla, Xstitcher and all. I have stayed the same weight. I cut out bread for a week, which was good, but unfortunately that gave me a craving for chocolate, which I gave into at every opportunity. This week no bread or chocolates. Let's see if I can manage that. Well done to you Wendilla, and better luck next week Xstitcher.
Wendilla, the weather is bitterly cold here, and my road is still very slippery, but the main roads are clear. I drive very slowly the 200 yards to the main road and the rest of my journey to work is fine.
Xstitcher, you said "onwards and upwards", I hope that isn't an prophesy. :-)
Hi Notafish...............Whoops, that's not what I meant by any means.

The weather here is very cold with average temperatures of -5 furing the day and lower at night, lots of snow but very, very beautiful and the roads are all cleared now, but more snow tomorrow.
Onwards and downwards..........the other was written very early in the morning !!!!
Notafish I mentioned it before that I swear by drinking unsweetened grapefruit juice every morning as this takes away my craving for sweet things but not everyone can take it if they are on certain medication and it does help to break up the fat .and I never noticed Xstitcher had said upwards lol. Hi x stitcher if you still there.
Oh yes I'm still here. At the moment I'm enjoying the birds. I have sea gulls on one side of the house swooping down to eat the stale bread that I just threw out and on the other side I have a little blackbird eating birdseed in the feeder. I hope the sea gulls leave her in peace.
Morning everyone

Yippee, Ive lost 3 and half pounds in 2 weeks as last week was cancelled. I got my 1 stone award. Only got to lose 2 and half to get a stone and half off. Im happy but thought I would have lost more with all the snowalking Ive done these last 2 weeks. There was only 10 out of 58 that turned up last night and one had a broken arm due to a fall in the snow. Shows how dedicated some people are.
We`ve got our canteen Xmas dinner next Thursday, so I`ll have to be really good up to then as I might be tempted to the lovely Xmas Pud and mince pies etc
Wendilla- I have a lovely recepie for Chicken and Onion Kebabs. Its mine and OH favourite meal. I will try to put it on here tomorrow when Im day off.
Good luck everyone and keep going no matter what.
Good for you Theotherhalf. Don't despair as you may have a good loss for next week . Will look forward to that recipe.
Wendilla, I will definitely buy myself some unsweetened grapefruit juice, thanks.
Xstitcher, the snow here is not beautiful anymore, it's in dirty grey-brown piles :-(
Well done TheOtherHalf!
Good luck for next week everyone.
Well done you TheOtherHalf, I can feel you happiness right through the computer. Can't wait to see the recipe for the chicken. It sounds delicious.
We were lunching at a friends house and he served a 4 course meal which was pure heaven. Just for fun I weighed myself this morning and to my amazement I had gone down 1 pound. Hmmmmmmm. It's freezing this morning, so I'm going to crawl back under the duvet to warm up before my exercises. Onwards and downwards my hearties!! :-)
