Strange fears

My 2 yr old grandaughter has been quite poorly with a cold that turned into a nasty chest infection. On one occasion she was struggling for breath and an ambulance was called and took her to A&E. She was prescribed antibiotics which seem to be clearing the infection up. Since she has been taking them, she has been acting very oddly-tells everyone that Father Christmas is upstairs and she doesn't like him, goes to get a toy from her toybox, peers into it and runs screaming for a cuddle saying that a monster is in the box, last night there was "a worm in her bath" apparently! Is it possible that the grug is causing this, as it only started last week after she had been taking it for a couple of days?

Good point about the cuddles, she probably is enjoying the fuss, she frightened the living daylights out of everyone, you don't appreciate how much you just want to see a kiddie rushing around being a little so-and-so again when they have been so ill and quiet.
When my daughter was almost 3 she had flu, which gave her a really high temperature, she kept screaming that the "frogs on the floor where going to get her" and refused to move from the settee. Once the calpol kicked in and reduced her temp she was fine.Hopefully once the infection is clear and her temp is normal she will forget all about the nasties . Hope she is back to full fitness soon :-)
