I had a bit of a naughty weekend and thus have paid the price by putting on half a Kg or so. However, general trend is still downwards (and onwards of course) so all is well.

I half blame it on the cold I've been harbouring - it creates a desire for warm wholesome food.

Luckily the sun looks like it might peak out this weekend at some point which means I can get back on the bike again ('tis too cold otherwise!) Good times ahead.
Hi Ed, Move over, but I don't have a cold to blame, just two lovely restuarant lunches with two different sets of friends that I haven't seen for years so although I dread getting on the scales tomorrow I am prepared for a good slap on the wrist. Oh dear.....onwards and downwards
AB Ed, thats no excuse .its never too cold to get on yer bike. I cycle everyday regardless and at weekends do a longer ride of about 20 miles. This sort of weather is just right for me as I dont like it when its hot.

If you are such a wimp, get an indoor one :>)
I am dreading Slimming world tonight as its been such a traumatic week my syn count has gone up rather more than I'd like... oh well come 7pm I will see either way
Good luck rowan. I gather youve been a bit sad lately so was it a bit of comfort eating ? If so, you will get past this phase :>) xx

True - in fairness it is as much to do with light in the evenings, or has been until recently.

I'm going back onto my favourite 33 miles route in a couple of weekends time (33 miles there then 33 miles back the next day). I am quite looking forward to it.

Hello everybody,

I've not been on this thread for a few months as I was having a break from Ab, so was wondering if I can sneak back in to this group?

Basically all my good work of last autumn has been undone and I'm probably more or less back where I started when this thread was set up. I think I need you lot to nag me and keep me on track.
Hi Yingyang, Well you've come to the right place and I hope we can help you get back on track. Believe me you're not alone!
Tommorrow is weigh in day. Good luck to all. Let's face it we make our own luck here.
Thanks xstitcher.

I've not read through all the threads so I'll catch up tomorrow on how everybody's doing. It's amazing how much easier it is to fall back into bad habits than it is to persevere with new ones.

I know you lot will keep me on the right track.
Hi all. Well lol lol I feel 2lbs lighter maybe the xmas pudd has finally gone lol but tomorrow will tell. ED 33 miles does that mean cycling you will show us all up .
Yingyang don't despair as Xstitcher said yu have come back to the right place. I lost 2 stone and 3 lbs steadily up till xmas then I put on 3 lbs and have been struggling to get back on track but hopefully I am there. Hi Rowanwitch it is so easy to comfort eat but hopefully you will get back on track. Hi XTITCHER hope you are well weather here is getting warmer how is it now over there? ONWARDS AND DOWNWARDS
Hi Wendilla, Lovely sunny and balmy weather after quite a bit of rain and wind.

I am NOT looking forward to getting on those scales tomorrow at all. Good on you for finally getting rid of that Christmas pudding. Back here tomorrow morning........
Still lurking below that magic stone marker - none off, but none on either! I reckon I am best part of a stone less than this time last year, I can certainly get in clothes which were impossible last year. ;-)
Good Morning All, Well nothing good to report as expected, but I didn't put on as much as I deserved too and for that I am grateful. Next week I shall be going down and no if ands or buts about it. Now that I've said it I have to do something serious about it. Onwards and downwards............
Good Morning Xstitcher and Boxtops well I must have dreamt about that 2lb loss as it is still there. This is 4 weeks now but I must admit I have had the odd naughties and been out 2 or 3 times but I have given myself a right scolding in my diary and I have not been writing everything down as I so strongly suggested to everyone but like BOXTOPS I am 2 stone lighter than I was this time last year and fitting into nicer clothes with no bulges lol.so thats a good bonus just need to get this other stone off 'Ah well on we go for next week Onwards and Downwards.
Morning all.
I havent gained or lost this week. Which is suprising as I had 2 evenings out (meal plus several pints on both occassions!!) and only went to the gym twice. But been strict on the diet otherwise. Not craving the ciggies which I am made up about, I know how hard some people find quitting!
A good week this week and I should be a lot closer to the 14st goal I set myself on new years day. Perhaps (if I am really strict) I may achieve it this week. But gradual is the best way.
I am doing less heavy weights in the gym and concentrating on my core strength and cardio and my general wellbeing is a lot better. I no longer want to have the "bodybuilder" look.
Anyway, best of luck to you all in achieving your goals this week folks!
Morning all, I've lost 2lbs this week. Woowoo!!!!!!!!!
Welcome yinyang

Well done to everyone. You are all doing well. Hope I can keep up the good work for tonight, although I seem to be coming to a bit of a stop at the moment. I remember about 5 years ago when I was doing a tesco online diet and I got to about this same weight, I seem to stay the same for ages.
I am trying different things all the time so that I dont get in a rut

Keep going everyone onwards and downwards. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Afternoon all, and thank you for the nice welcome back

Well done ,tigger, that' a good loss for this week.

I have to be honest and admit that I bottled out of getting on the scales this morning. I just know I'm going to be disgusted with myself when I do. I'm going to be good this week and maybe I'll be brave enough next week.

Know it's a well worn excuse but it's just been so dark and miserable here since well before christmas that I feel like I've hardly been out the house; and when I'm in the house for a long time I eat out of boredom. Roll on the lighter nights / mornings and warmer weather!

Keep up the good work, everybody.
3.5 lbs at weigh in last night making a total of 13.5lbs in 3 weeks

slimmer of the week again....
Long way to go....still
ONWARDS AND DOWNWARDS!!!!!!!!
Rowanwitch good for you but be very very careful not to take it off to fast .I don't know how much you want to lose but it goes back on much faster than you take it off.If you take it off steadily you will get used to what you can eat without gaining if you understand what I mean. I am stuck at the moment but from july till dec I lost just over 2 st and never gained but at xmas gained 3 lbs so I am struggling but hope to have a loss next week as I need another stone off.I was hoping to have that stone off my end of march but doubtful now but Onwards and Downwards .
Tigger well done and to anyone else I have missed.
