Yingyang, getting on those scales will get you back on course. You are probably using more time worrying about how much you weigh than you will by knowing the answer. Knowing can also give you the resolve to start doing something about it. Be a good girl and get on them tomorrow morning.......we are all there rooting for you.
Hi rowan, I just want to back up Wendilla saying not to loose too much too quickly. It really is important to take it slowly but progressively. You are doing so well and are in the right mind set so I'm sure that you will reach your goal.
You're right , xstitcher. I need to get it over with. Knew I could rely on you lot to knock me into line : )
Well done rowan. Just keep up the good work. It doesnt really matter how much you lose as long as its going down

I lost 1lb last nights class, Im ok with that. Its in the right direction

Keep going yinyang, its good to have the support on here

Hi xstitcher, well done to you too for keeping going

Hows Spare Ed doing ??????
Good for you TheOtherHalf. One pound is a very good loss in my books. I'll be you are feeling very good about it. I think the biggest motivation is seeing the scales go down. Then you really want to keep working on it and not spoil all the hard work you have put in, because it is hard denying you stomach all the stuff that it says it wants.
Its especially hard in feb I think....the lighter evenings are a long way off, its cold and often wet, theres not a lot of good stuff on tv so temptation is harder to resist.
There's Valentines day also known as 'the top up with chocolates after christmas' festival and horizontal jogging is less tempting as it means the fleece pjs have to come off... roll on the spring.....
Well done Theotherhalf and yes Rowanwitch it is difficult in these months .It was easier to lose weight autumn and early winter. I have given myself a kick start this week and my brain seems to have accepted it so heres hoping for a good result on Wed. Onwards and Downwards
I am also trying to put a gag on the food devil on the one shoulder and listen to the food angel on the other. The devil puts food ideas into my head but so far (the last 24 hours) I have been able to banish them. The food angel has a much harder job than the food devil. Onwards and downwards......
Xstitcher that is a good way you have put that and how true. I can be watching tv and all of a sudden I think I wonder if my grandson ate the rest of that kitkats and it worries me till I go and look and the angel gets pushed aside but not this week I am determined she stays.
Just a little food fun.........boiled carrots taste blah but if you add about a teaspoon + to the water when boiling them you will find a whole new lovely flavour. It used a lot by the Spaniards. Even hubby will eat them now.
its only a lot as I have so much to lose...it will slow down to a steady 2-3 lb a week soon enough
Well. that thread over on CB makes depressing reading, doesn't it, especially as xxzzee said it was inspired by reading the diet threads in answerbank. The judgements and assumptions that people are making about overweight people are quite upsetting.

Anyway, took the plunge and weighed myself this morning - did you all hear a loud scream coming from Glasgow?
Actually, it wasn't quite as bad as I expected. Not good though. I shall need to bind and gag my food devil over the weekend, it's my twins birthday so lots of cake and party food beckons. My food angel will need to shout loudly over that lot : )

Well done on your loss, TheOtherHalf, it's always good to see the scales going in the right direction.

Onwards and downwards...
Hello everyone, I've lost one pound over the last two weeks. Xstitcher, what is it that you add to carrots to make them taste nicer? My food devil just made me eat the prawn crackers left over from yesterday. I'll try to ignore him in future! Well done all the good people who listened to their angels this week.
Ha, my head must be in the clouds today.......I didn't say a teaspoon+ of what.........
I left out the word cinnamon...................................
Well done Notafish yes we are all going to listen to the angel and ignore the food devil.
Any food devil food that I have used and there are left overs.....go down the loo.....the only safe place for them if I don't want them in my stomach......last week I dumped almost a whole bowl full of lovely Spanish almonds down the loo, but my hand unknown to myself had managed to snatch a handful of them on the way.
Thank you, Wendilla.
That made me laugh Xstitcher, that your hand is taking almonds against your wishes :-). Carrots with cinnamon sounds interesting, I'll give it a go.
Let me know notafish what you think of the carrots and cinnamon. I was served them in a restuarant last year.
Good for you yingyang. Now you are on your way. They say the first step is always the hardest. I couldn't get into to AB yesterday evening and I wanted to give you a big pat on the shoulder.
Onwards and downwards............
Thanks xstitcher. See you on Wednesday...
