What should the FA do with Rooney?

It is most likely that the weak FA will either give Rooney a strong reprimand or impose a fine upon him.

Neither would be appropriate for this foul; mouthed individual, it is no use hitting the pocket of someone who gets thousands of pounds a week, and a reprimand would just roll off his back.

I say suspend him for a few matches with a loss of pay, but we all know this is not going to happen, in a game that is no longer a game but just big business.

AOG, why don't you go the whole hog and demand that he be strung up from the nearest lamp post?
Good idea Mrs Overall
Yep ... stringing up.
Give the clown an asbo, the manager as well
Is that all he did....swear?
I don't think anything they can do would make much difference. The whole set up of the game needs looking at.
He's embarrassed the FA, who are busily promoting their 'Respect' campaign.
The thing is that the boy may have gifted feet but he's a complete gonk in almost every other walk of life.

Perhaps the TV companies should stick to filming the action of the match itself and refrain from trying to capture close-ups of excitable eejits when they have just scored a goal ?

Drop him from England for the next 3 matches. Of course it would never happen as the football crowd want to see the best players play - and hence since there is no real punishment against players, they continue with their moronic behaviour.
The less time the camera spends on Mr Potato Head's ugly face, the better it is for all of us
I wish they could get rid of him all together, He thinks he is Mr Man U. It would be nice if they could bring him down a few pegs and stop his wages..
Hung, drawn and quartered me thinks, and then hung on the walls of Old Trafford, if not the ground, one could use the railings in the railway station - Mr Potato-Man would be an excellent realistic extra for the Tudors if they filmed this sentence being implemented.
FA
As swearing is now the norm on TV (including the F word) and is supposedly used for comic effect I fail to see how he is judged to have done something wrong.
hehe, lmao @ the word "gonk" not heard that for years!

Not quite sure what to say about this "news" story, the guy's an idiot, everyone knows that, why we're surprised when he makes a pillock of himself yet again is beyond me. Perhaps if we treated him and his ilk like footballers instead of demi Gods they'd come back down to earth with a bump and behave more accordingly?
craft - there is a thing called the watershed you know
Perhaps he should be carted off to a watershed for a spot of waterboarding
I think the FA would get alot of support if they banned him from playing football forever.. the likes of rooney will always bring the sport down..make an example of him and ban him from football forever..That way the other players will think before they act stupid.. if they do it to rooney they could do it to any player who like rooney are up themselves..

I see so nobody on TV swears before the mysterious watershed..................hmmm.
