Morbid Question

If an elderly relative died at home during the night, who would you ring?

I don't mean family, i mean doctors/hospital, etc?

The doctors will obviously be shut & it obviously won't be a 999 emergency.

How can we possibly learn to celebrate when our friends and relatives commit suicide? I just don't understand that at all.

i agree with welsh, this thread appears to be upsetting for lots of people, and quite possible chris as well, best left alone .

Oh I see, Chris. So, when his mother was begging for his coffin not to be lowered because she couldn't come to terms with the fact that her beautiful 21 year old son was gone forever, I should have told her not to be so selfish??? Cop yourself on! I'm done with this thread.

I'm inclined to agree with you.

If my critics review this thread they'll see that I simply stated that I want to die by my own hand. People then started asking questions, to which I provided honest answers. (Whatever my other failings may be, I'm not a hypocrite. I'll stand by what I believe in). If people have decided to take offence, that's up to them. But I stand by my right to answer questions with honest opinions.

I think the problem is Chris that you only addressed certain questions and in a way which suited your thought processes, anything which contradicted them you totally ignored- I think that's what people have issues with- that you seem to entirely disregard the fact for instance that people's suicides affect the people they leave behind- it's nothing to do with survival of the fittest because suicide actually interferes with that.

Chris, what you seem to fail to understand is that for the majority, suicide is a last desperate act. Why should loved ones celebrate the fact that their nearest and dearest got to a point where they saw no other way out? How is it selfish of them to agonise over not having been there for someone so important to them in their hour of need? You said you sold your father's possessions before he was even buried because 'there's no point being morbid' - that's not about not being morbid, that's just bloody heartless.
