antibiotics and itching

my OH is on a short cause of antibiotics for a water infection and has developed an irritating, itchy rash on her leg. Could the rash be caused by the antibiotics?

How odd, I was literally just reading that info leaflet from the anti-biotics I got today and noticed an itchy rash is one of the possible side effects.

thanks guys, but as bednobs pointed out, why is it just on one leg if it is an allergic reaction? wouldnt it be spread around the whole body?

no rash anywhere else on the body ? have they used antibiotics before ?

Is it doxycycline by any chance? It gave me a strange rash and I finished up looking like I'd had a red swimsuit painted on, very odd! :o)
