Yeah - it's like sitting on your own in a cafe.
Chin up, look confident, and fiddle with your mobile, is my advice - and enjoy the film.
No need to worry - lots of people go on their own. Enjoy your film
What are you going to see?
Take me alone with you. I usually behave myself in company. What film are you going to see, and are you anywhere near the West Midlands?
Know what you mean, I've done it a couple of times and felt like I had a big sign on my head that said 'billy no-mates' but in fact I'm sure no-one even took any notice. Take Mosaic's advice and have a good time.
I go by myself if I want to, I just sit at the end of the row.
I go to the cinema and the theatre on my own. Used to it now but it would be good to have someone with whom to discuss the performance. Sharing does make an outing better....
I always go to the cinema on my own, i hate going with people who want to talk to you or ask questions throughout the film. Went to see Harry Potter last Friday on my own and totally enjoyed it, went again on Tuesday to see it in 3D with a friend and by the end of the film i could have quite happily slapped them! lol
I always go pn my own, other people irritate me, enjoy
LOL fluffy, how I agree - especially the ones who don't watch the film, just chat away as if they were at home.
One of my friends buys a monthly pass to her local cinema, and quite often spends all day Saturday going from one film to another and always on her own. She's a big film buff and doesn't like other folk distracting her.
Would not dream of discussing the performance during it. Have to go to matinees as getting home by public transport can be difficult.
If only cinemas had programmes like they do in the theatre. Always enjoy reading them and passes he time befor eit starts.

Enjoy the film Amber-Rose and tell us what you thought of it once you're home won't you.
I could go to the cinema or theatre on my own but not to meet someone in a bar in case I got there first. Seems different for men doesn't it ? Why is that ?
Always go on my own, even try and sit alone. I'm fed up with the slurpers, munchers, texters, talkers and fidgets. Once spent an entire evening with a baby trying to stick it's dummy in my left ear.
sorry vulcan

Jonnyboy12 not near West Midlands but watch this space as am looking to up sticks and move away.. new start and all that. Anyway went to watch Bridesmaids... but it was full..!!! Geez... Thanks for all your replies. I will try again at the weekend. x
Been on my own a couple of times, never felt nervous about it at all. Mind you, I've gone for lunch/breakfast/dinner on my own and as long as I have a book I'm perfectly happy. I've been to the pub on my own to watch the rugby too. I've never looked on it as a big deal and can't understand people (mainly women) who won't go in to a pub unless someone is already sitting in there to meet them.

Just enjoy your film, s'no biggie and people aren't likely to notice really, we spend far too much time worrying what other people think... mostly other people are like us and don't really care about much outside of our own little worlds :c)
What a disappointment.

If it was full on a Wednesday teatime, it'll be positively overfolowing at the weekend. Do you have a smaller cinema you can go to somewhere? Maybe it'll be on there in a week or two.
Book online, then you can just turn up and get your ticket (and popcorn).
