When we are on a flight we need, difficult though it might be, to be tolerant towards the people next to us and near us, provided the irritation they cause us is through no fault of their own.
While I am all in favour of encouraging people to look after their weight, I am mildly staggered by the level of intolerance people are willing to afford to others.
The "solutions" propunded here sound like acts of revengeful spite, rather than a constructive idea. Airline seats are too small, but on the other hand if they were bigger few of us could fly, as I hinted at before.
