Good Morning!

Well I am back from the hospital....minus a large onion ring sized chunk of cervix [my best mates description]...a little sore but hopefully cancer free!!!!!
The gynaecologist is confident that she managed to get it all as the 'patches' very contained and localised.
I will get my results on the 13th of Jan but for now it's all good!!!

I really can't thank you all enough for being here for me.....and I will keep you all updated when the results are back, but like I said the gynaecologist thinks she got it all and the nurse reassured me she only says that when she feels she has! Worst case scenario right now is to have the same procedure again if she did miss any.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Brilliant, I'm so happy for you- and what a great thing the NHS is with the speed they got it sorted out.

You're so right there Nox, the hospitals round here are fantastic [well maybe the infamous Whipps Cross leaves a little to be desired at times] I have never had to wait for treatment of any description. Part of what scared me so much was the speed everything moved at, but it couldn't have been better really.
And yes, I second the issue of ladies like me who ignore their smear requests. I have been so very lucky and have prompted a fair few to get off their backsides and get their tests done. No it's not a nice thing but it takes minutes and the alternative is so much worse!
Love you all for caring so much.

I've been offline for a day or two and missed your previous posts. Having now caught up I'm so pleased that you have been 'sorted' and hope the discomfort doesn't get in the way of you enjoying a celebratory glass of what you fancy.

And make sure Dave gets an extra sprout for his support ;-)
