I go through a pair of tights every couple of days, despite using a pumice stone and creaming my heels, by the end of the day, there are holes worn in my tights. Any tips?

Though I do recommend L'Occitane's foot cream, not a cheap option but I love it. It's exfoliate, moisturise, exfoliate, moisturise all the time!
Lyn, buy a Ped-Egg, you can get them in Boots, and use it diligently - I have the same trouble and get through popsox like there is no tomorrow.
The other thing - though a bit messy - is a Newtons Chiropody Sponge. It's made of crunchy black stuff which rubs away as it smooths your feet, it's remarkably effective, IMO.

In my experience if you have it bad you need to go to a chiropodist first and then keep on top of it. I use a Scholl hard skin remover file thing after soaking my feet whilst showering every day, then apply cream - any cheap moisturising cream will do, but lather it on.
Once a week I wrap my feet in cling film after putting the cream on, put socks on top of that and leave for as long as I can stand, overnight usually.
In fact you could try that as a home remedy twice a week.
