Sociology or Psychology

I am colleague of mine is doing a project and she would like to know whether there are any websites or any tips of where to lookup this information which would give any information on the typical British attitude.  For example, some may say that British people won't complain about a service and some may say that British people have a stiff upper-lip.

Do you think she should look in Sociology or Psychology textbooks?

Any help would be appreciated!

If she's doing a project on the differences between social groups such as people of different nationalities then you're looking at sociology rather than psychology...

Your friend might find it more beneficial to look in textbooks associated with Social Anthropology as this subject deals with differences in human culture etc

The first is more academic. The second more accessible.

A further suggestion:  if your friend has access to an academic library at her school or college, she could try asking the subject librarian - it is possible that the same librarian covers both Sociology or Psychology. Otherwise both librarians.  They are usually helpful with research.
