I posted a while ago about a lump on my eyebrow (just under the hair) which we eventually established was a cyst.

My Doc has referred me for surgery to have it removed but said because of it's location it couldn't be done by the people who would usually perform this surgery. She said I would be referred to Plastics.

I got my choose and book form through today and I've been referred to Ophthalmology. But that seems a bit odd. It isn't affecting my eye sight (apart from when it gets infected and bigger then I can see it at the top of my vision). Aren't they likely to just tell me they can't/won't do anything about it?

Ophthalmology is the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.

You seem to fit into that category.

They might....that is what you are going for....an "opinion"

hhmm. Just seemed odd as it's not really an eye problem, it was more the location of it that baffled them. The doctor said it would be plastics as they would do a neater job.
The ophthalmology dept. may ask for a consult from plastics.
