The Club is now Open.

Welcome once again to the Mad over Fifties Club for a night of unalloyed pleasure.
No doubt there will be at least one ode, lots of delicious comestibles and sufficient alcohol to float a battleship.
And that's before we get on to the excellent conversation , witty repartee and the holy grail of all club events, the drawing of the raffle.

Tonight's prizes so far include:

two rain mates (pink spotty ones)
a packet of Fishermen's Friends
a pair of flip flops, one orange, one green (totally non-sectarian )
and
a loofah

Good evening Milady, Butler and all gathered members. My Sacrum being somewhat salvaged I have taken great care with the spread tonight - usual Horses Dubries and Voltr vons, plus tandoori chicken skewers with a fresh raita dip and naan breads, Sticky pork ribs with a plum dip. Assorted cheeses and a strawberry triple shortbread stack.

Tonight's Tailcock is the Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, a nice relaxing number with a bit of a kick but nonetheless calming and chilled.

For the Rofl

Next doors stereo system (slightly damaged, 6 hours is more than enough)
2 Thruppenny bits
Bottle of Baileys (unopened , blurgh)
one kitchen sink plug (detached)

So let us settle in.
Question Author
Hello Mamya .
Is your sacred area better now ? or just 'improved' ?
Cannot agree with you more on the Baileys..blurgh and double blurgh..
A glass of your finest Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee please, if I have spelled it correctly.
Good evening m'lady, Matron & guests. For the rofl, I can offer as prizes -

A battered fly-swat
Several dozen dead flies
An almost-empty bottle of window cleaning liquid

I shall begin hiding things & serving tailcocks at once.
Good evening ladyalex and mamyalynne, I'm a little early but I promise to behave and even face the scary butler.
For the roffle, I bring a beaten docket (again) a golf tee and a dinged can of guiness
I am, I think off to the pub, after today and for some cheese and wine

Sorry.

I'm also a little oded out after all the Mrs O Village Fete offerings yesterday as all of you wanted to pile in.....maybe later.

Meantime, as I have been out and about with the mater:

1 half chewed Cornish cornet for an icecream
1 Cadbury Flake
1 dustbin
1 bit of Hell's Mouth rock, brought down another 1/2 million tonnes
1 road sign saying "Portreath - End of the World"
1 Dead Mackerel
1 Cornish Pixie - bottled in Cornish air.

Good luck to all and I'll have an Eseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee does it later.
M'lady - your special silver (coloured) flagon of Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee, spelling optional...

Good evening, miss sibton! Scary, moi? Meh - a flagon of Matron's finest, miss :-)
Good evening milady and buttles and matron

For the wofl I bring 12 losing betting slips from Newmarket and a glass of pimms (contents not supplued).

If someone could remind me of my PIN number I will be back momentarily after a visit to tescobonk.

Question Author
Hello sibton...I think you have explained this before and I expect I will regret asking, but a beaten docket ? I'm thinking nettles, no that's docken, or possibly bits of paper...but why would you beat them ?

Hi DT. Sounds as though you could do with a night off from the ode-ing....see how you feel later.
Question Author

Good evening, mr dave & miss kinky!

Good evening good friends, blimey how these weeks roll by eh ?
It has taken warm so I have no poncho but a shawl to keep the draught off when atop the old nag.
Foe the waffle I have bought , a nasal hair trimmer, an eye for a needle, a sleeping policeman ( gawd he is gonna be upset ) and I would love a flagon of Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee please.
hello all.

nice to be here on this lovely evening.

my contributions are:-
my late raccoons' lucky dice
five used avatar photos from this last week
a box of cotton buds
a spare copy of my postal quiz
two lollipops
a dry-cleaning ticket
a rubiks cube

one large glass of Eeeeeeeeee at your convenience please.
Improved Milady I would say.

Have my sights on the flies, have not made garibaldis for years.
Question Author
Hello flump, do make yourself comfortable.

lordalex could do with the nasal hair trimmer thing

LiK that cannot be Dave's PIN number as I think it's mine.
Ah, miss flump, how nice to see you - one flagon of Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. May I take your shawl? I can assure you that it will receive the very best attention.
Question Author
Pleased to hear of the sacred improvement, Mamya. Hope it continues. Nothing worse than a sore sacrum.
(Well, not many things .)

Have you considered Flies' Cemetery as an alternative to Garibaldis ?
Excel - very good evening to you sir, a flagon of Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee. It appears to be quite popular already...

M'lady - ah...erm...oops? A refill, perhaps...
Good evening M'Lady and assorted guests. Tonight's spread looks quite magnificent - many thanks maryalynne, you have surpassed yourself. The butler is looking his usual regal self and I see he is buttling away to his hearts content.
For the rofl may I offer:
78 rpm record, slightly warped
Unread copy of The Watchtower
Pink frizbee

A flagon of that delicious tailcock if you would be so kind and I think I shall try the sticky pork ribs and plum dip. What a lovely way to spend an evening.
