Right, be honest, just how many different cleansers, gels, lotions & potions etc do you use in a day? Mine is a rather long list I'm ashamed to admit (maybe later) but I am getting on a bit & need a lot of maintenance!  Please feel free to include any 'ointments' - don't worry your secret's safe with us.

This has been prompted by oxeyedaisy's thread on smelly people in People & Places!

He, he Robinia!!

Morning:  Dove body wash in shower.  Body lotion (various) on leaving shower, Moisturiser on face.  Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, eye gel,  plus a bit of makeup if going out.  But apart from Mascara and lippy, makeup doesn't suit me much.

Evening.  Wash my face with Johnsons mild exfoliating wash and water and use moisturiser again.

Also, of course, toothpaste and tooth whitener at least twice a day.  Foot cream for and hand cream as and when necessary.  Hair shampoo and Conditioner about every other day and hair gel (two sorts).

That's it!, apart from perfume when I feel inclined.

Actually my routine hasn't altered for years - perhaps I need a rethink!!

Forgot about the self tan on legs in the summer!

           hand cream
           shampoo/conditioner/gel -every other day
           toothpaste/mouthwash
           foundation/mascara/lip balm
           make-up remover
           post-gardening  - savlon, anti-histamine
           yes, the tanning lotion
           perfume or light body spray
and finally..... you don't need to know!!

Er, I might smell lovely but I'm not very environmentally friendly.

You're very similar to me FP but when you put them together it looks a lot doesn't it.  Now are you sure you haven't missed anything?  Chilblain cream,  muscle rub, cream for those little irritations?  ;-)

Oh what a mess that looks!
Cleanser, toner, moisturiser on face, morning & night... toothpaste... shower gel, shampoo & conditioner... body moisturiser all over... deodorant... heat protector spray on hair... make-up... hand cream regularly... nice smelling body spray... so, in answer to your question... not much really!!!!
oh lord! well apart from the usual shower stuff, face stuff, body stuff, cream stuff, hair stuff, that's it! I'm not v faithful to products, I bounce about a lot Love a bit of luxery tho ;-)
whops that was meant to be luxury! Doh!

Whoops, I forgot to say deodorant!

And I missed out the antihistamine cream as well which I have to use a lot at this time of the year.

I might be here a while!

Morning - either cleansing balm or exfoliating scrub with water for face, and some type of shower gel for body (I chop and change brands).

Then sometimes vitamin C serum on face depending on how much of a rush I'm in.

Then moisturiser, anti-shine lotion and eye cream on face and moisturising spray and deoderant and perfume for body.  Oh and toothpaste.

Then foundation, brow gel, 2 types of concealer, 2 shades of eyeshadow, powder, mascara and lip balm. If I was going somewhere other than work there would also be eyeliner and make up sealant.  On hair - heat protective spray, frizz ease cream and hairspray.  If I was going out who knows how many hair products might be involved! :-)

During the day I use pressed powder and maybe cottonbuds to 'repair' make up.

In the evening - eye make up remover, cleanser, moisturiser, eye cream, sometimes anti-wrinkle serum stuff and hand cream.  If I wash my hair (it's dry so I don't every day) shampoo, conditioner and serum.  If I have a bath there'd be moisturiser, anti-cellulite gel (wishful thinking) and foot cream.

Good grief that's a lot of stuff.  And I bet I forgot some things.

Morning: Ghost shower gel, Garnier face cream, makeup, Dove roll on, Johnson's talc, Tommy Sport body cream, Next neck spray,Garnier foot cream, Charlie spray for my clothes and Ghost Purfume for the finishing touch!

Bedtime: Garnier Night cream, FCUK lip balm, Nat Collection eye cream and The White Comp hand cream

I have enough products to open up my own branch of BOOTS!

Soap and water, deodorant and nivea creme and baby wipes after the loo. I'm fresh, clean and wrinkley!!!
Soap and water, toothpaste, deo, nivea face cream,Clarins flash balm If I am feeling jaded.Bit of mascara and lippy.Spray on a bit of perfume.Wash the lot off in the evening before going to bed .Then Nivea again and hand cream.Rub my aching joints with some marvellous stuff my Mum-in-law sends me from Germany called Pferdesalbe.Oh and shampoo and conditioner every day with Frizzease.Only wear make up foundation etc if I am going out anywhere.
I forgot to mention nail varnish. Most important!
Oooh Shaneystar, what is the magic potion for Germany?  I have achey, arthritic joints!

Thanks for all of your answers, I'm so glad to see we're all natural beauties then & definitely not getting up oxeyedaisy's nose in a nasty way!!

As I pointed out when I was buying a bathroom cabinet, 'I'll need a large one for all of my creams & squirts 'cos I didn't get to look like this by accident!'

Can you imagine how many chemicals this lot must have in them???

Question Author
Great minds FP :-) - I was just looking for that but can't understand a word on the German sites.  Can you translate please Shaneystar?!

Pferdesalbe translated means horse liniment!! But......not horse liniment as we know it.On the tub it says " Developed for horses ,adapted for humans"My hubby is German and he brings it back when he goes over to see his Mum or she sends it if I run out. It's a gel which you rub in and it is very cooling for poor old knees and other aches and pains.it's not sticky and contains menthol and arnica amongst other things .Plus it smells quite nice and doesn't follow you around like Ralgex or Deep Heat. There is a website which you can order it from but of course this is all in German.Difficult if you can't speak the lingo.I find it much better than all the stuff my doctor prescribes. If you know anyone who is going on holiday to Germany they could get it for you.it's available in all the health shops"Reformhaus"there.and it quite cheap ,about 8.50 euros. If I can find the website I will post it for you.
