Shallowqueen, despite all the posts berating you here I get where you are coming from completely. I was that 16 year old who let her friendships be chipped away and abandoned because she was naive and liked the attention. My ex was great so long as it was only the 2 of us and he got his own way. And the best way to keep him happy was to give in every time. We didn't move away but we did get married and had a child and I was so unhappy. I can also see why you are complaining but saying there is nothing you can do. Fear of the unknown and a generally negative attitude about everything because I was so unhappy made me put obstacles in my own way for a long time. But I'll tell you something, once I finally got the courage to leave I couldn't have been happier. Yes it was hard. He made it hard and my daughter and I had virtually nothing, living in one room for 2 years, but it was worth it and I wouldn't do it any differently. I am so much happier. Chances are you can put up with it just now but you'll reach a point when your need to get away will be bigger than the obstaes you are currently putting in front of yourself. And when you do, you won't look back x
