Zit Or Boil?

I've got what looked like a zit on my back but I'm starting to think it might be a boil.

It's been soooo painful today and the fact it's right where my bra strap sits makes life difficult. And more painful.

It's hard to get a real look at it being in the centre of my back but it looks pretty large, red and has a head on it. (Soz for being gross)

Should I try and get it looked at? I'm at Wembley tomorrow night and there's no way I'm missing that but Christ it hurts!

Whichever it is...and i think it may be a boil....it won't be better by tomorrow night.

Take Ibuprofen 600mgms tonight and before you go to Wembley and keep your fingers crossed.

Worth putting a plaster on for cosmetic reasons, in case it pops while you're there (bleah)

Thanks all. Think I've got some dressings left over from an old problem so might pop to my sisters and get her to put one on, just in case. Will help it stop rubbing on my bra too. And take the ibuprofen in the meantime.

try to squeeze it if you are game enough, or get someone else to.....use a sterilised needle if necessary. then use the dressing. it will be painful if you don't.....

She's had a good squeeze of it. But she said it was purple and really hard underneath still so she's going to have another good squeeze tomorrow. By god it hurt. God it covered up for the time being.

Evian, try bathing it with water as hot as you can stand before she has another go.

Get some Lion Ointment. Put hot compresses on the boil.

I can't really reach it so ill just have a shower in the morning and she will give it a good clean before she re-does. Thanks again everyone x

get a needle and pierce the thing!!!! it just needs a little help to escape.....i have many boils (due to acne) and this is the only way to deal with them. you can squeeze them to kingdom come but all it will do is bloody hurt. get a sodding needle at it!!!! x
