Painful Foot
13 Answers
My foot hurts and i'm not sure what's wrong with it. Its feels extremely tight and is slightly swollen.
This is on the top of the foot from the toes back to the ankle. It doesn't hurt to walk on it but is painful constantly. I have put an ice pack on it this evening but no change. Its been like it for 2/3 days now and is not a sprain. Not sure what to do with it for the best.

It is a bit pink and hot as chris describes. A light pink patch on top of the foot and another just above the ankle. Puffy all over and tight feeling skin. Toes are a little puffy but not red and not hurting. No better or worse if i walk as its the top of the foot. In other words, it doesn't hurt to walk specifically.

Squad- i went to GP who suggested a sprain, but has requested a blood tests regarding the pink patch just above the ankle, as it was red by then. Though we needed to check clotting is ok.
I have continued with ibropufen morning and night and kept the pain at bay, and the patch is dull rather than red. Swelling is not really reduced and the pain remains albeit lighter, immediately under the skin on the top of the foot.
Do you have any further thoughts and is it OK to continue with ibropufen twice a days on a regular basis? Overk 2 weeks now and another 10 days until I see GP again.
