Hi,

I have carpal tunnel syndrome and the pain was getting so bad I went to the Dr.

I have anti inflamitry tablets twice a day and a wrist splint night time.

This has realy done the trick and it doesn't hurt at night now and only occationally in the day.

I think I shall keep the wrist splint on but when the tablets are finished and because it seems so much better now do you think it worth ging back to the DR or wait to see if it gets worse again?

I don't want to waste his or my time just to sit htere and him say 'jolly good off you go then' lol

Thanks

I had carpal Tunnel Syndrome, I had the wrist splint at night, but wasn't on any tablets. I have had the operation, it was simple and I was much better afterwards.

Hi,

Thank you for your replys :)

I haven't had the electrical test but it is so obviious :( we didn't think it was needed at this stage.

My brother had the operation on both his wrists last year but I would prefer not tounless it becomes a real roblem.

I don't want to go back to the Dr if it isn't realy needed but want to know if, when the tablets are finished shoud I cary on with the splnt?

No need to return to the doctor, just "juggle" with your management ( splint and tablets) that keep you symptom free.
