I am with the not eating breakfast brigade. I cannot face eating anything apart from a cup of tea first thing in the morning. I have always been that way and will not change my habits. I can quite easily go until lunch without feeling hungry, but if I do force anything down early in the morning, then I find I am hungry by mid morning, I guess it has something to do with getting the metabolism going?
Agree with treetops that back in the ancient days past, it was called breaking your fast, it would be interesting to find out when it became the accepted norm for everyone to eat early in the day, most people back then could not afford to have food when they wanted it!
As shown in the article, our early ancestors ate when they could find food, rather than the current thinking of 3 meals a day. I guess it is down to whatever sits best with you rather than following what seems to be the accepted norm.
