I've heard others say that too, I haven't experienced child birth though is it wrong to be a little cheered that, if I do, it won't be that bad :)
Did they give you advice about restricting fat in meals and avoiding large meals? I had to stick to very low fat and eat in small amounts or I really suffered for it after.
Have they given you any pain relief if you may have any more pain, if you have gallstones? I found codeine phosphate from the hospital to have with paracetamol helped a bit and diclofenac for shoulderblade pain. I was also given spasmonol a few days before my op when I got really poorly again.
I hope you don't have any continuing pain though if you do, get right back to the doctors and find a way forwards. I had acute cholecystis in the November and didn't have my gallbladder out until the following March and it was really not a pleasant wait.
