Hi there I cant believe it. (Im getting like victor meldrew!!) I applied for housing to a council in England and I sent off a medical form and I was awared no points when I enquiried about it I was told it was assessed by a health visitor, not a nurse or a doctor that is ridicolus health visitors are not doctors and they should not be placed with the responsibility of making decisions that affect peoples lives. Who are health visitors? Glorified bum wipers!!

Because I have a connection in the area that is what gets you points.
...and if Scotland is made independent, and you move to England to use the health service, then won't you be a health migrant too......? Btw the Eastern Europeans who live in our road are all working here and healthy....

Exactly they are taking jobs that should be offered to British people

How did you get on with the 'BedroomTax' did that affect you in Scotland?
No, gordie, my point is- have you looked for a mutual exchange? I'll try to find you a link...
Rubbish gordie - the people in our road are doing the menial jobs which the idle round here caren't be arsed to do - they are in working the salad factory and as cleaners. They are as much entitled to work here as you are - the EU says so.
This is a free site. Have a look on here at the area you want and see if there is anyone wanting to move to Scotland.

Your attitude would could possibly be why you have been unsuccessful in finding work.
While gordie could have chosen a much better adjective regarding health visitors I am ashamed of the vitriol on some of this thread.
is the 'salad factory' yet another euphemism I've never heard of?
No svejk, it's a salad factory - part of Planet Thanet.

Exactly and that is the problem boxtops in one word EUROPE we need to get out of that joke. I have applied for numerous jobs in bars cafes restaurants etc and not even got an interview and I got into these same places a few weeks later and it is full of immigrants whose attempt at the English language is embarrassing. People say British people dont want to work that is crap.
Vakayu - I know what you mean - but many of us have attempted so often to reassure gordie with his health obsessions and his genuine illness, and here he sneers at health professionals whilst clearly not understanding their role, as if he has a right to housing without medical input.
Question Author
Eccelescake I dont speak like that at interviews I put on a fantastic act and how can they tell my attitude through an application form.
Gordie, it's not crap in many instances - I know personally several people who are far better off on benefits, who have no intention of seeking work. That's what's wrong, I object to paying my taxes to pay those people's benefits. I'm not talking about people like you who have been ill and are looking to get back into work.

You're disgressing anyway - this isn't about migrants, it's about you slagging off health visitors.
I don't think you get points for wanting to move away from your parents or for being gay. I'm amazed you have secured HA accommodation in the first place.

Vakayu, I agree - some of this is unpleasant reading, might almost be termed racist.
Having interviewed many in my time, it's not difficult to see which people are genuine and who is "putting on a fantastic act". You don't need an act - being yourself is a much better option.
Vakayu, I find some of the vitriol that comes from Gordie really quite horrendous and I am not in the least surprised that he has been unsuccessful in his attempts to find work in the service industry.

You might not like my opinion Gordie but it is only based on what You post on here.
Thank-you margie04 I thought most abers were nice understanding patient people, this is beyond belief, verging on ridiculous.
