17 and homeless

I have a friend who is 17 and homeless. He has been housed in temp accomadation but the organisation who runs this says that as he is under the care of the local authority it is their responsibility to house him. He is stopping at a friends and being given �4.50 a day to live on. He has hardly any clothes as he has moved so often. His socail worker has gone on holiday for 3 weeks. What should he expect in terms of support and from whom. Any suggestions would be welcomed. thanks

Either ring the duty social worker or go to the Citizens a
vice bureau,  good luck.      If he still at school, can the head help.  If he is unemployed can the Connections workers help

if you're desperate, go to the local hospital with him, and get them to contact the right people.
