Dnr Forms
43 Answers
When I went to the hospital today to see ny dad, Ias told that a DNR form had been applied to my dad's notes. I understand what a DNR form is but am unclear as to whether it can be a doctor's decision to set this up.
Can someone clarify this for me please?

My mother towards her end, made her views very clear. The hospital (who were lovely) made sure that we knew the score. I think that the fact that you have been told is positive. In cases where its been done without the patient/family knowledge, they usually aren't told either. The DNR form has to be completed by a doctor. No one else has the authority.
