The wear on the soles of my walking boots is all on the outside edges. There wasn't that pattern of wear on boots I've had in the past.
Could I be going bandy in my old age?
I doubt whether that you will go "bandy" but you may wear the outside of your shoes out due to compensatory gait following osteo-arthritis of the hip. Wear and tear of the ageing hip joints, even without pain, but more so with it,produces a gait which attempts to relieve any hip problems....a sort of "waddle" develops, particularly if one hip joint is affected...
I have slipped discs and my left foot sort of slaps down when I walk for a while. If the unusual wear on the boots was on that one foot I could understand.
