Evening all.
Back in March I had a scan done on my ovaries and kidneys as I was getting a sharp shooting pain up my stomach after peeing but only noticed it of a night when I was in bed. Everything came back clear.
Problem is the pain has not gone away and I am now getting it constantly. I took a urine sample to the Drs on Friday and that was fine. I feel ok ish in myself.... No blood in urine, no persistent bloating, no weight loss, no sickness, no back pain, no fever. I do seem to go a bit constipated occasionally and gave a rumbling tummy. I work at Boots and the pharmacist has suggested IBS . Any ideas x

Cystitis ?
Question Author
No took a sample to the Drs and this has been going on since March and not the usual Cystitis symptoms x
Oh dear, poor you feebee. Maybe you should have more urine tests done. I believe sometimes they only look for the usual infections. Definitely don't just put up with it.
You don't mention your age but when I started menopause in my late forties.one of the more unpleasant symptoms was muscle cramp which could occur in just about any muscle that you can imagine below the waist. Apparently its a known thing, just not talked about. Of course this may not be relevant to you, I just mention it as a possiblity.

I'm 54 and not had a period in over two years so well into the menopause x

I know I got panicky back then as had the breakthrough bleed but nothing like that since. Wish the Drs would tell you all these probabilities. I'm say with a hot water bottle on my tum at the moment. Will get booked into Drs asap as pain is awful.
I cannot deduce from your OP wether you have seen a Consultant Urologist and had a cystoscopy ( endoscopy of the bladder). If you have then ignore my post, but if not, then that would surely be the next move as Interstitial Cystitis or Painful Bladder Syndrome as it is sometimes called needs excluding.
IBS? Possibly........but not high on my list of " thoughts."
How are your today Feebee ?
Question Author
Still feel crap but not as bad as yesterday. Phoned Drs to try and get an appointment on my only day off this week and none available. Asked about an after work one but need to phone them at 8am to book that so will try again in morning.
Thank you for asking x
How about an answer to my query?
Question Author
Sorry Sqad forgot to answer x
Not seen a specialist but hopefully can get the Dr to sort something out when I eventually get to see them. I'm sure I'm over worrying about a simple bladder infection
