Just after Xmas thousands of pounds is spent on gym membership, fancy diets etc but all you need IMO is a balanced diet, and walk, a lady I know is 92 this year and today went for a four mile walk admit with the help of a trolley which has a bag for her shopping, she told me she walks everyday, whatever the weather, she still enjoys a dance ,and the odd tipple, she had a heart scan last year, and they cannot believe the results for her age, so if you are able don't waste your money just invest in a decent pair of walking shoes,

I used to go to the gym 4 times a week but the fittest I've ever been is when I dumped the car and started walking the kids to school. The school was 2 miles away so I clocked up 8 miles a day just taking them to school (I worked from home) Now they are too old/left school I haven't put on any weight but I'm not as toned as I was.
