Comfort Blankets.

I confess I am 34 years old and I have a comfort blanket.He is called Sheety.Recently I have discovered a surprising number of inappropriatley aged people who also have comfort blankets.Is anyone else willing to admit to owning one?

Lol bunny 34 and comfort blankets whatever for surely that is a sign of you wanting someone in your life for real or are you kinda lacking confidence or feel insecure without a comfort blanket and no am not taking the micheal seriously asking. am 37 by the way xxx

I have Hippo, who is my hot water bottle. I got him when I moved into a horrible cold flat when I was a student. He has a flat body (where the bottle goes) but a big stuffed head, which makes him the ideal shape to hug. I took him travelling with me, so he's probably the most well-travelled Hippo ever. I can't sleep without him. I'm going to be 31 in a couple of months.

hi bunny, i dont have one myself but i do know people my age (nearly 40) who do and i dont think it means they are insecure or anything, i think its just a habit, and i think its sweet :)   and bless hippo the hot water bottle :)

I have my "poorly" blanket. When i am sick or unhappy i head for the sofa wrapped in the blanket. I feel comforted and that's what matters to me! So, Bunny, I freely own up to it... send my regards to Sheety

I wouldn't have said I'm lacking in confidence or insecure I_Tried.Nor am I particularily looking for someone in my life(nice if it happened though!).Its just an extra comfort,something soothing,not a replacement thing.

I had a 'Gongee' up until about 20. Then I 'grew up', got rid of the bit of old sheet and only took 'Broughton Bear' to bed with me. He still accompanies me when the good wife is working a night shift. He will become one of my daughter's teddies when she's old enough.

Bunny I know the feeling and must apologise if the insecure comments came across as rude, they weren't meant to be. as for something happening why wait for it why not instigate it :-)

I had  a "Silky" when I was little, and my sister had one until she was a teenager- she also sucked her thumb for a long time. I don't have anything like that as such, but I do write my diary every single night, without fail! Every night since i was 12!

Hiya im 13 years old n i have a comfort blanket it made up of lots and lots of different silky materials i got from my mum i find it hard to sleep without it i tried giving it up but it put me in a bad mood so my mum said just go and get it. So i did and im sat here snuggling up too it so if anyone says your to old tell em go razz
