Heart Pacemaker

My Doctor is considering me for a pace maker. Will it prevent me from driving and will it increase my already extortionate insurance? Thanks in advance

oh and I wouldnt decide on whether to have a pace maker or not
on whether your car insurance will go up

there are more important considerations

Just let the DVLA know that you are to be fitted with a pacemaker and almost certainly will not prevent you from driving or indeed "loading" your insurance.
Pacemaker is no big deal and it either slows your heart down or speeds it up.......it does NOT make an irregular heart beat regular.

The pacemaker, speeds the heart RATE up when it is slow and slows the heart RATE down when it is fast. It will do nothing to the abnormal bouts of irregularity, but will control the heart rate, which will control your symptoms.
