Still Worried
12 Answers
Worried about my hubby feeling exhausted. Thought it may have been thyroid problems but he got the all clear. Doctor suggested that hubby maybe depressed due to recent loss of dog and always doing for others and neglecting himself!! Admittedly I am worried that they could be other health issues going on. His uncle has been diagnosed wirh MS after months of family calling him lazy. I know this isnt a genetic condition however I do feel concerned. Feeling rather helpless. Has anyone experienced any similar issues??

The improvement is gradual taking over months than weeks to notice any improvement. Depression and under active thyroid are difficult to differentiate on clinical grounds and may even be co-existent.
Do you mean he has been treated for thyroid problems and the blood tests are all clear, or do you mean that blood tests for an underactive thyroid were normal? I am a bit confused.

Thanks guys. Hubby had TSH Levels checked and these were normal. Also had U + E's and LFTs. The only level out of range was liver but that is now back within a normal range. He wouldnt get another dog as he (we) couldnt bare saying goodbye again. He doesnt take any meds from doc. Blood pressure and cholestoral are very good. His BMI is 30.

Thank you for the feedback which would indicate that there is no organic cause for his symptoms and your GP may well be correct in that he is suffering a depressive illness.
The solution is in his hands, whether he wants to "battle this out " on his own, or seek medical advice.
As for M.S causing his problems, that is a long shot.....a very long shot.
