Are We Ever Going To Get Away From Gay Tv
198 Answers
Sorry guys. Am quite traditional, but I accept everyone I do. As they are whatever they are they are whatever WE are.
But,
Why is TV full of non heterosexuals. Mainly gay people these days.
Is it only me that feels this?
Well me and my husband that is?
Why is hetrosexuallness not being celebrated the same way it's like tables have turned big time?
Just my opinion....

'A pattern of gay spring flowers' for example.
Many words have other connotations.

islay; I'm sick to death of 'in your face' homosexuality, an evening in Zürich a fortnight ago was spoilt for many people by a so-called 'gay-pride weekend'. They represent 1.2% of the population, and if not wanting the 'intentional promotion' of it to schoolchildren makes me and Vladimir Putin, what you call bigots, then I don't really care, but if you want to see a real bigot I suggest you take a look in the mirror.
The word 'gay' isn't misused, its modern meaning of homosexual seems to have taken precedence over most of its other meanings, but that sort of thing has always happened with languages. Most of us are happy using words that once had different meanings, though some seem to want to freeze a language at the point they learnt it.
I'm sick to death of 'in your face' bigotry for that matter. You can't freeze language Khandro, it constantly shifts and evolves, no-one is stopping you or me or anyone else form using gay in all three of it's meanings 'That guy is gay I think', 'Such a beautiful, happy gay pattern on that dress' and 'That's the worst thing I've ever heard, that's really gay that is' - although the latter would be impolite. You clearly have issues with homosexuality and gay people in general if Pride, where everyone is just happy and gay (lol), upsets you to the point you can't enjoy your weekend. Get a grip springs to mind.
I don’t know if anyone else does, but quite a few of my facebook friends have teens who have had their prom this year, both in the UK and US and I get to see the pictures. There are various standard shots and one set are shots of people with their prom dates. I have noticed particularly this year that there are quite a few same gender couples posing hugging and kissing in the same way that their cis gender school mates are. I think its a great thing and shows a huge step forward for society.
My nephew is the kindest and funniest lad....he was attacked in the street.....because he is gay.....
Attacked by young people who have the misfortune to be being brought up by bigots......
Now, all these people who are so offended by people who aren't heterosexual.....who post their quite frightening views on here and elsewhere....a question for you.....well a few......
If I could clap my hands and remove every gay and bi-sexual person from the face of the earth.......how would it improve your life?
What difference would it make to you or your family?
Why, when watching TV, is your first thought, or so it seems.....about the sexual preferences of the person you are watching?.....I find that quite repulsive........and kind of creepy......
When I watch Michael Parkinson, for instance, I don't think about who he lives and loves with.......?????
I'd like FrillyPancake to answer if possible.....x
