I have just returned from the dentist where he quoted me £450 to refill a tooth which has a crack in it or £200 to extract. The says the high price is due to the tooth being a rear molar and awkward to get to. I have said I will have a think and get back to him.
What do you think of these prices????
I would say that jth's situation isn't that uncommon - I've heard similar stories down here and it comes down to those who try to use the NHS to entice cussies in to go private - and the rates are even more expensive than the USA now....for example, a bog-standard root canal here >£750 whereas the Americans, around the same number in dollars.
I have now collated the dentist and have appointment for Monday.
Tooth pain is easing and was able to chew my dinner this evening instead of swallowing huge mouthful.
But Jack's post gives me hope.
OK
you have no idea how much how health care costs are because you have the NHS.
have a thought about the N Y injured how much and how will they pay?
anyway this is OK for dentistry
on another thread a week or so ago - someone got a quote for an installation of a splackamator or scrombogulator
and said can you do it for half ?
and he said yeah but it may not work
J9PUR.. glad to see you still looking in. I'M worried about AB becoming just a chat show and postings of Internet links without personal informed advice.
