When you’re in a dark depression place filled with pain sometimes they think that they’re actually helping those around them that they think they were burdening, others see it as a big f*** you to those they’ve hated not thinking about those that would miss them.
I saw a YouTube video of golden gate jumpers who immediately regretted jumping but survived and as they let go thought W.TF HAve I done.
Life’s full of dips and lows and I feel sad at those who have felt the need to lull themselves as no doubt things would have got better at some point.

no it's not selfish, depression is a hideous horrible thing and can be completely and totally overwhelming. My niece committed suicide and whilst I'd prefer she was around still, I understand why and don't think her selfish at all, her life was a constant battle and she was in so much pain she just wanted it to stop. I just wish she didn't have to die in such a horribly painful way.
