Hair
My hair is the longest it has ever been - it is usually pixie-cut but I can always give it volume with my hot brush.
Now it is a lot longer (ear length (bob cut) and the "curls" don't stay in with the hot brush. I do not like long straight hair - it puts me in mind of Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music and a nun I am not LOL
Anybody suggest if I could get a root perm or some of volume lift in the hairdressers. Thanks

Years ago there was like a root perm - they sorta (from what I can remember) put the perm at the root of your hair. I know I can get this information from the hairdressers but I want to tell them what I want not what they suggest. It won't be my usual hairdresser.
i have looked at your links and they seem good - also I youtubed some good hints but like everything else you need to spend time doing your hair. I am not really into the permy thingmajig but do know that I can work my hot brush (not straighteners - can't use them) but if any of you know of a volumising substance that I can spray on the washed hair and when I go to hot brush that the "substance" is not sticky and so won't stick to the hot brush. If I can get that I am as good to go. thanks for your replies
