Get a hot bath and rest. But it depends how painful it is, I suppose.
Rest.
nooo..rest it 'till it isn't sore..don't do further damage

Pain is a 6 out of ten was a 8/9 when i first woke
day off !
Honestly....rest it. I recently hurt my back and the best thing is to sit as still as possible. Pain is your marker. If you're in pain your body needs to rest and heal. Too much movement can aggravate it.

It hurts to sneeze

Will rest up for a bit
As a veteran of many such episodes i will presume it’s muscular pain and suggest you take anti inflammatories, use a heat pad of some description and keep moving. Lying/sitting for prolonged periods will just cause it to seize up and become even more painful, as you have noticed the pain was worse first thing after being asleep. Even if all you can do is shuffle about a bit, it’s better than sitting/lying still all day. If you think you may have slipped a disc then forget everything I said and get yourself to a medical professional.
nothing worse.if a bit of heat etc doesn't help..see a doc..could be more than muscular...took me oodles of appointments 'till I saw Norwich footie club footie physio ..sports guys the best

I’m pretty sure it is just muscular
"Had some anti inflamatorys now should i rest or try to get on with my day and stretch it out a bit?"

Spot on....but try to keep moving.

You haven't described the pain very accurately.....does it go down the back of your leg.....or not?

Ratty2E.....gives good advice.
oh and when you are better
go to a gym and get someone to teach you how to life weights....

Sqad the pain rests at the lower back..

Bad explination but..

You know the two “nubs” of bone maybe from the hips at the lowe back either side of the spine? My bittom right one around that area has very sharp pain when trying to stand or especially any kind of twist, sometimes the pain goes near the glute but not down the leg.. it is also ever so slightly above the “nub” also.. very tender
Thanks spath........I agree it is likely to be purely muscular.....my advice remains.

Thank you
I think it is a common Problem. Maybe You just lifted in an inappropriate way. Get some Rest and Please Do not Lift until you will be 100 percent fit to lift. Next time be careful Best of Luck.
spath,
you should have come along with me to my manual handling course the other week! Seriously though, hope you feel better soon.
